THE STORY:

Me and Jeff joined The Danny Did Foundation just months after losing our 5 yr old son Dallas to SUDEP (Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy). Dallas passed away after having a seizure in his sleep. Dallas was so full of life that our home was always full of laughter. His smile was so contagious and everyone would melt into his bright blue eyes. We miss him beyond words. Often my family & friends read my FB post of days that are still unbearable.  What we know is we can't change what has happened but we can change the outcomes for others. We support The Danny Did Foundation because they are making an impact in helping famlies living with Epilepsy & supporting the latest research in Epilepsy/ SUDEP. Please help us honor Dallas's life with a donation to this worthy cause. Your donation WILL make a difference. Thank You- Mylissa Daniels

DANNY DID FOUNDATION wrote -

“Please Go and Enjoy Your Life . . . Danny Did.” Those were the last words of Danny Stanton's obituary, written by his dad, after Danny died suddenly following a seizure in his sleep. He was just three months shy of his fifth birthday. Danny had epilepsy, one of the oldest and most mysterious ailments. Rooted in the organ most responsible for our very humanity — the brain — it can cause seizures that come without warning, at any time, in many different forms. Yet Danny's family had never been informed about a critical risk for people who face seizures: Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

WHY: To carry on Danny’s place in the world, the Danny Did Foundation (DDF) works towards its mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures. Every $1,000 raised for Danny Did in the 2016 Art Van Charity Challenge will fund seizure detection monitors for two families in need. The major impact of these devices is two-fold: parents gain the peace of mind of knowing that they will be alerted to a convulsive seizure and will have the chance to assist their loved one. At the same time, the person utilizing the device gains the added safety of a time-sensitive intervention during a seizure.

IMPACT: By reaching our goal to raise $30,000, we can provide at least 60 new families with a monitoring device. The DDF has funded monitoring devices for families spanning 48 states and 8 countries. As awareness has spread about the value of these resources, the number of requests for funding support to Danny Did has skyrocketed. Your donation will help us to meet this need! Please read about the life-changing impact of this program here.

LEARN MORE: We invite you read about our cause at www.dannydid.org and to follow us on Facebook here and on Twitter here. If you'd like to join our monthly e-Newsletter, you can do that here.

Please donate today to protect the 1 in 26 Americans will who face epilepsy! Through this program, Danny Stanton continues to help others, just as this sweet boy would do if he were alive today.
