BENEFITING: American Heart Association
EVENT DATE: Nov 04, 2012
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. In fact, 35.3% of deaths in American women over the age of 20, or more than 432,000 are caused by cardiovascular disease each year. In the United States, every 34 seconds, someone has a heart attack, and each minute someone dies from a heart related event.
Most of us currently have a loved one dealing with a heart condition, or have lost someone in the past to heart disease. This run is being done in memory of our family and friends who have left us, and for advanced research and education to prevent heart disease and so that those with heart conditions can live longer and healthier lives.
I am interested in hearing your story. Tell me about a friend or family member who sufferred from or is experiencing cardio difficulties. I will put their name on my running shirt and run in their honor.
Thank-you for your donations to the American Heart Association and helping to fight the battle against heart disease.
