It is a distinct privilege to be a part of this team for a third consecutive Boston Marathon. This race is different as it's my first as a qualified runner. So, I expect to hear the questions about why I continue to run for charity. My answer is easy. I run for this charity and foundation because it's the best way I know to daily act on my desire to make a difference in the fights against Parkinson's and cancer. I run for this charity because I will visibly show the thousand after thousand of spectators between Hopkinton and Boylston Street that I am dedicated to this cause. I will run for this charity and and this foundation on April 17, and the many days of training in between, because it helps me feel just a little less helpless as I watch people I love endure these conditions. Please help me continue my efforts with your donation. I'm truly grateful to all those who support these efforts, and it gives me a great deal of satisfaction to see pictures of Shawn present large checks to organizations on the foundation's website and Facebook page. My miles and your generosity are parts of those presentations. We make a difference.
