BENEFITING: CHALLENGED ATHLETES FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Apr 10, 2016
As I started training this winter off-season, I realized how lucky I am to be able to live in a free country and be able to live a healthy and active lifestyle here in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
As I contemplated a spring 2016 race to look forward to, I knew I wanted to raise money for a cause that benefits other people to also live a healthy and active lifestyle. When I read the information for the San Diego Gran Fondo and the Challenged Athletes Foundation's® (CAF) Operation Rebound® program - I knew I had found the exact cause I was looking for.
CAF's Operation Rebound® program is the premier sports and fitness program for American military personnel, veterans and first responders with physical challenges. It provides unparalleled opportunities to pursue active, athletic lifestyles by offering access to funding for equipment and training and competition expenses, Military Medical Center Physical Training (MMCPT) and sports clinics.
As I now work for Harris Corporation (one of the top 10 defense contractors in the USA), I have a greater appreciation for the men and women in uniform who serve our country and allow us all to realize our dreams of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The least I can do is increase awareness to this fact and raise money to help those who suffer physical challenges live a healthy and active lifestyle.
Please join me in supporting this wonderful cause and thank you for generosity.
