GUESS MY FINISH TIME
June 24, 2017
Hello friends! Medals of Honor has given me the opportunity to run in honor and in the memory of a fallen soldier. On October 22, 2017, I am running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC on behalf of a soldier, their family and all of the other soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. As part of Team Medals of Honor, my marathon finisher’s medal and race bib will be given to the soldier’s family.
And I take this challenge and opportunity to heart! I’m also dedicating the Marine Corps Marathon to my US Army veteran father and a Silver Star recipient for his actions during the Vietnam War. I’m proud to be his daughter and thankful for all who serve/served in our military branches. It will be a privilege to run and wear the fallen soldier’s photo on race day. Likewise, I’m looking forward to seeing my father on the marathon race route and sharing this experience with him.
With your help, my goal is to raise funds that pay respect to fallen soldiers’ families and help heal the wounds of war through endurance sports and fitness for both our veterans and surviving family members. My goal of $500 means with every $10 raised, we can send 50 packages to 50 soldiers' families, so they know their loved one is not forgotten.
Please join me in supporting Team Medals of Honor and the Marine Corps Marathon's commitment to health, research, military family support, wounded warriors and more. For just a $10 donation, you are honoring a fallen hero's family! Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you to all who serve and have served our country. #MedalsOfHonor
