I feel so honored to support The Daraja Academy of Kenya for the past 5 years! We have educated 130 girls and counting!!! Daraja create leaders of change because of your love and support.
Why Girls? When a girl is educated, the effects of that education trickle down to her children, community and country. If women and girls achieve an education beyond primary school, then the risk of poverty decreases exponentially for the next generation.
So . . . it's that time of year again when I fundraise for Daraja, but this time I'm fundraising for supplies before I travel back to campus at the end of July! I am returning to see the 2nd class of girls graduate, which YOU helped make happen. Thank you again for your generosity and continuous support. As excited as I am to see some of the girls graduate and move on to further their education or work in their community - I also want to make sure that the girls that are still in school have all the supplies and essentials that they need to make the most of the Daraja experience. I'm raising funds for the following list of school supplies that have been requested from the teachers and staff:
• Sports Bras
• Ball Pump
• Ping pong balls and paddles
• Running shoes (new or slightly used)
• Blue, Black, and Red pens
• Glue Sticks
• 3” x 5’’ Index Cards
• Flash drives (60+)
• AAA batteries
You could purchase any of these items and give it to me to take to Kenya, but it is much easier if you could donate whatever amount that you can afford and we can purchase the supplies once we're there.
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!
