Friends and Supporters,
Thanks for all the support in the past for Kayak For A Cause. Alas, being run entirely by volunteers who all had demanding day jobs, the steering committee decided that the event had run its course.
However, we were convened by the Hole In The Wall Gang Camp, a previous KFAK beneficiary, to help them organize and manage Kayak for Camp.
Kayak for Camp is a charity paddling event designed to raise funds and awareness for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Open to all human powered watercraft (kayaks, SUPs, etc.) and paddlers of all ability levels, the event features 2-Mile, 4-Mile and 8-Mile route options surrounding the beautiful Norwalk Islands.
I have pledged to raise $1000 as a condition of the eight-mile route. As with every charity, a dollar is a dollar. If you can donate something to this effort, please do so at my site:
Your support will help The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provide "a different kind of healing" to more than 20,000 children and families battling serious illness each year, completely free of charge. HITW Gang Camps are truly special places for these kids and their families and I am proud that I was called upon to help support them through this event.
Thanks for considering supporting me, HITW Gang Camps, and the thousands of people they serve.
PS: If you would rather participate in the event, the details are below:
Participants must provide their own kayak or paddleboard, personal flotation device, and paddle.
