The Clean Air and Clean Water acts have been characterized as "wins" for environmentalists. In fact, they were "wins" for everyone. We are now facing a crisis far more serious than locally dirty or toxic air and water; we are facing a crisis that threatens our survival. The fear of nuclear war was pervasive as I was growing up. Climate change is not a threat; it is happening now and will be more devastating than nuclear war unless we start moving off fossil fuels immediately. I am participating in "The Great March for Climate Action" in the hope that it will help wake people to the danger we face. We are all in this together, I hope that The Great March will help us pull together and address the daunting, but not insurmountable, challenges that we face.
