EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Run inspired for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in the 2016 TCS NYC Marathon!
On November 6, 2016, I am running the New York City Marathon for a charity--The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Associated with the race, I committed to raise at least $3,000 for the Camp.
When my hero Paul Newman founded The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, it was with the understanding that children with serious illness face multiple challenges in addition to their physical suffering, including fear, uncertainty and isolation. At Camp, these brave children can find a community of acceptance where friendship, joy and laughter help restore hope. They learn that their illness does not define them. Your generous gift will help make this possible.
With your support, these children, as campers, will swim, ride horses, climb, zipline and/or stand on stage and give the performance of a lifetime. All this will happen with new found friends who share similar experiences and who help them discover they are capable of so much more than they imagined.
Because we are blessed with a community of caring friends like you, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is now providing “a different kind of healing” to more than 25,000 seriously ill children and family members annually – all completely free of charge.
Join the Gang; invest in children. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid and BDC thank you for your support.
