For those of you that know my best friend, David Kim, we know him to be a person that knows how to touch everyone around him in a positive way. There is not a single person who has ever met him that has had something bad to say about him. The man that raised him to be like that was his father, Jaiheon Kim, who passed away yesterday due to unnatural causes. David's father was an inspiration to me from the the day I met him. He went from battling polio as a young child in South Korea to moving to America where he had an enormously successful career and did an even better job at raising his two sons. For those that were close to David, we knew that his family was going through some financial strife, and this untimely passing does nothing but add to the financial burden on David's shoulders. When I spoke to him on the phone, Dave told me that he had to be strong for the sake of his mother and of course himself. I am starting this fundraiser in hopes of raising money to alleviate some of the financial burden left on David's shoulders. He just graduated college, but suddenly he finds himself with a lot more responsibility than he expected. If you or your family was ever influenced in some way by David, and want to help him, even if you have lost touched with him over the years, please contribute to this memorial fund for his father. Even if you can not, please pray for David and the rest of his family.
