EVENT: Red Shoe Walk 2014
EVENT DATE: Oct 25, 2014
Have you seen the Big Red Shoes around town? Maybe you have seen me on one of the billboards on I-26?
Please support me and the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston as I walk in the Big Red Shoes on October 25th to raise money to add five additional bedrooms!!
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston is presenting the first ever Red Shoe Walk, October 25th at 9:00am, in Hampton Park. It is sure to be an action packed event that you will not soon forget! On average, our House turns away 8 families every night due to a lack of space. This year, we are expanding our home to help more families in need by adding 5 bedrooms for a total of 32 rooms.
Here is how you can participate:
1."DONATE" towards my goal of $1,600, which is the cost of running the House for 1 night, and come cheer for me on October 25.
2."REGISTER" if you prefer to participate in the Red Shoe Walk and join me in wearing the Big Red Shoes.
Each night we have 27 families of critically ill children, who have traveled to Charleston for treatment, calling our House a ‘home away from home’. Our home offers these families comfortable beds, hot meals and a caring staff, all just steps from the hospital. It is through your support, that we are able to continue to help these families during their darkest times.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities empowers families by providing stability and vital resources so they can get and keep their child happy and healthy. By keeping families together, RMHC helps children heal faster and cope better.
