Lee SAYS:
We are sending out 179 notes…
We are sending out 179 notes of "deep gratitude" today, because that's the number of people who supported PeerSpring co-founders, Lee Fox and Laura Page in the Women Who Tech startup competition.

We set our funding goal to $10,800 because "108" is often understood as representing the trinity of time (1=present, 0=past and 8=infinite future) and we wanted to move beyond our reality of "now" (1=small under capitalized startup) and integrate the power of what "was" (0=Lee, youth advocacy architect and Laura, educator and youth leadership development) in order to act on the infinite potential for the "future" (8=transmutation and growth of PeerSpring).

We earned $15,750 at the time the competition closed, and then continued to raise another $180- to bring us to the grand total of $15,930, exceeding our funding goal by 148%! (Donations are still welcome, so if you or someone you know would like to sponsor a youth at our social entrepreneurship camp, please go to www.crowdrise.com/peerspring now).

Every donation, big & small, were building blocks to the grand finale -- in which we took 1st place in terms of money raised as compared to 123 other competitors! It was extraordinarily humbling to ask for your support and to receive it. The validation for us personally, and for PeerSpring is exhilarating.

When asked "why" you offered support, the answer was not simply because you knew us personally, but because you believed in PeerSpring -- in what the product stood for... in its potential to have impact.

If you're curious, here's how the numbers broke down... $1,000-$2,000 (4 donors), $500-$999 (2 donors), $200-$499 (9 donors), $100-$199 (31 donors), $50-$99 (56 donors), $25-$49 (37 donors), $10-24 (40 donors).

We will automatically add you to our newsletter (to which you can unsubscribe at any time) so that we can continue to update you on our progress. After all, without you, we wouldn't have the opportunities to impact the lives of others in the same way.

Again, we thank you!
