After a 20 year career in the Army the thought of not being a Soldier anymore was rather sobering. I spent several months looking for a job an more importanly who I was and how I fit into my new role. One of the biggest mistakes I made was not getting involved in organiztions that would allow me to meet folks and simply socailize. As I look back on the process the one thing I cherished on a daily basis was excerise at a local gym. Although it was not set up to be a social outlet it did allow me to meet poeple through shared pain and suffering lol and plenty of joke about said pain and suffering.
The job that I currently have is focused on assisting Veterans as they tranistion out of the Military and this is where I found out about Team RWB. I got involved to find out what they do and how they do it. Simply put the bring Veteran, Active duty, Guard& Reserve as well as communtiy members to enrich their lives through excercise and socialization. This is probaly the first organiztion I mention to those Veterans I know that are in transition as I believe what they are doing is on the top of my list in importance. Please support not only me but Team RWB!!
