On November 2, 2014, I will be running in the New York Marathon in hopes of raising money for Odyssey House. I have benefited from overwhelming support from my family (especially Alex) during my training and will have great support from family and friends on the sidelines this year….but many individuals and families need the support of Odyssey House to get back on their feet and take control of their lives. Please help me to support this amazing community resource and important cause.
Founded in 1967, Odyssey House provides community-based programs and services to individuals and families struggling with substance abuse, medical problems, homelessness and mental illness. Programs are tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of at-risk populations — from teens and young families, to senior citizens and people with mental illness. Services include group and individual counseling, medical and dental care, job skills training and work placement, housing support, family interventions, and physical fitness, running and art programs. For almost 50 years, Odyssey House’s innovative clinical protocols in housing, education, employment and medical services have demonstrated their commitment to providing quality programs that meet the needs of drug-troubled individuals and families.
