On Oct. 19, 2014, Dr. David Eastman will run the Columbus Marathon for the second time to raise funds and awareness for the fabulous kids of the Love and Hope Children's Home in San, Salvador, El Salvador.

Longer (Much Longer...and Yet Unfinished) Story:
Three years ago, David served as faculty co-sponsor for an OWU.edu spring break trip to Love & Hope. This was his first-ever mission trip, first time to El Salvador, and first time to see poverty and conditions at the level he witnessed. However, it was also his first time to catch a vision for what a huge God can do among people with so few possessions to call their own and so very many risks 'round about them. He returned a changed person. Since then, he has looked for every opportunity to serve the kids, missionaries, and local staff at Love & Hope.
The marathon was a logical choice that year, because it was another first for him. Add it to the list of firsts.
That first year after his first trip down, he ran the Cols Marathon and, through the generous support of many contributors, and raised $________ for the home. Along with that, his parents' church, Canfield Christian Church (OH), adopted Love and Hope as their mission-relationship home and donated and the Sports dept of Ohio Wesleyan University, and brought several basketball hoops and chain nets to replace their
