What a great day!

Dawn Farm is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting addicts and alcoholics in achieving long-term recovery. We identify and remove barriers that prevent addicts and alcoholics from joining the recovering community. This means that we never turn anyone away based on their inability to pay for treatment.
For 44 years we have been firmly rooted as an orgaization that understands that the recovering community and its allies are far more important than we are - you are the most important source of healing and recovery support for our clients.
The money raised through the Art Van Charity Challenge will go directly to our Scholarship Fund. Indigent clients who need our long-term residential treatment services are able to use our Scholarship Fund to cover the cost of their treatment. However, the demand for scholarships always always outweighs our supply. Those waiting to join our program on scholarship are on a very long waitlist - and many of them cannot afford to wait any longer. Your contribution will directly contribute to the care of an addict or alcoholic seeking help and hope in Dawn Farm.
Dr. George Valliant said this of treating addicts and alcoholics: "If you want to treat an illness that has no easy cure, first of all, treat them with hope.”
But how do we treat addicts with hope?
We express our hopes for them. We explore what they once hoped for. We treat them as though they are important. We refuse to give up on them. We connect them with others who have recovered under similar circumstances.
It often takes time and repetition, and it won’t always yield the result we hope for, but it’s good for our soul and they are always worth it.
Thank you for your friendship, and for sharing our hope.
