BENEFITING: Vermont Community Garden Network
EVENT DATE: May 09, 2015
Day in the Dirt! is a fun volunteer day to give Burlington's community and school gardens a spring boost. On Saturday, May 9, 140+ garden superheroes will transform 10 garden sites all over Burlington (and one in Colchester) then gather to celebrate the day with a delicious lunch and prizes at the Intervale Center.
This hard work and positive energy will make a huge impact on our community - and you can too! By donating now, you can help grow community and school gardens in Burlington and around the state.
Your donation supports the Vermont Community Garden Network, a nonprofit organization that works with local groups all over the state to start, maintain, and grow gardens and educational programming. We offer technical assistance, training, resources, and networking opportunities to Vermont's garden leaders, and hands-on garden education in Burlington. This work ensures that everyone has access to garden space, and the information, resources, and encouragement needed to be successful.
We believe in the power of people growing food together to reduce hunger and build community!
