The 2nd annual D.C. Duck Race is May 6, 2017 at The Yards Park along the Anacostia River. This fun event and festival brings the community together in support of local non-profits and organizations. It is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Washington, D.C. through a collaboration with the Capitol Riverfront BID. CARECEN’s mission is to foster the comprehensive development of the Latino population in the Washington metropolitan region by providing direct services, while promoting grassroots empowerment, civic engagement, and civil rights advocacy. CARECEN's work is meant to facilitate the process of transition for immigrants to an integrated life in their new home.
