DCHV provides emergency, transitional, and permanent housing, as well as supportive services, for at-risk veterans, those experiencing homelessness, and their families. Tax ID 27-2468110

Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans was founded in 2009 by United States Air Force Veteran David Mosley after seeing firsthand the tremendous gaps in services for those who'd served their country.

As of January 2014, there were close to 50,000 veterans experiencing homelessness in the US, but thanks to the incredible efforts of community-based organizations like DCHV in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, homelessness is on the decline.

In early November 2015, Virginia became the first state to "functionally" eradicate homelessness amongst veterans. Using a "housing first" model, along with supportive services, including case management, substance abuse counseling, and community reintegration, Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans aims to make Delaware the next state on that list.
