My life has not been an easy one to live. I have experienced and overcame so much adversities at a young age, however life experience has made me who I am today. My determination, passion and desire to be successful in my career, live life to its fullest and to always be happy, smile & laugh is what drives me everyday.
In my lifetime, I have been blessed with many great friends, family and coworkers. Therefore, I am making it a yearly objective to pay it forward by fund raising for an organization of a friend's choosing. This year I will be fund raising for the Pasadena Young & Healthy program in honor of my dear friend Natalia Lewis.
On Sunday January 20, 2013, I will be running The Disney Tinkerbell Half Marathon. If I meet my goal of $1,000, then I will bleach my hair, dress up as Tinkerbell and run the 1/2 marathon in my costume for a great cause. I will make sure everyone who donates get to see a picture of me in my costume. Also, I will be growing out a mastache for prostate cancer awareness and wearing a pink headband for breast cancer awareness.
Information about the program:
Young & Healthy is a health care program that provides free medical, dental, psychological and case-management services to low-income, uninsured children in the Pasadena Schools, day care centers and homeless shelters in the greater Pasadena community. Health services are provided by volunteer physicians, dentists, therapists, optometrists and other health care professionals. Young & Healthy is based on the conviction that it is the right of every child to have access to quality health care regardless of income levels and that early health care is an investment in the future of the community.
