EVENT DATE: MAY 24, 2014 - MAY 25, 2014
Team Village Striders and Riders is riding in memory of Amelia Vincenzi, a courageous, kind, and caring young woman, Amelia was a dear heart, and yet she was tough. Despite her health issues she never complained, she stayed positive and was helpful and giving to those around her. During her short life, Amelia exhibited a life well lived for all of us that knew her. She is missed but will never be forgotten.
Amelia found joy at the Hole in the Wall Camp as a camper over period of nine years starting when she was five or six years old. Her glowing reports of the wonderful experiences at camp, during some of the most trying times of her young life, confirmed all that I had ever heard about the wonders of the place. We ride to help Team Hole in the Wall keep up their great work helping young people fighting through insufferably trying times.
AngelRide is one of New England’s premier charity bicycle rides; providing riders, volunteers, sponsors and donors with a two-day experience unlike any other. From the athletic challenge of the 140-mile ride, to the camaraderie of the riders and volunteers, to the direct impact on the lives of children with serious illnesses, it’s easy to see why AngelRide has become a Memorial Day weekend tradition for so many.
100% of rider and volunteer fundraising supports The Hole in the Wall Gang's Hospital Outreach Program: bringing the hopeful, playful spirit of The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp to children and families in the hospital setting.
By registering for AngelRide 2014, you will join a community of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Whether you decide to ride, be a virtual rider, volunteer, make a donation (sponsor a participant) or become an event sponsor, your efforts make a real difference in the lives of children battling a serious illness who deserve a break.
Two-day and multiple one-day ride options are available. Join the Team now and secure your spot in this inspirational event!
