My 10th marathon will benefit the Organization for Autism Research! As I cruise through the streets of the Windy City, I'll be thinking of my courageous students who are on the Autism spectrum. Each day, they face challenges & struggle with tasks that most of us take for granted. One of the highlights of this school year has been working with a non verbal boy. With the help of his lab group, by the end of the semester, he was making eye contact, sitting at a table eating with three other students and even participating in conversation! Watching the class embrace the challenge of accepting and encouraging this young man has been a fantastic opportunity. I'm humbled to run to raise funds for Autism Research. Thank you in advance for your encouragement and donations to help find a cause & assistance for the 1 in 68 children born on the Autism spectrum.
