Debra's fight for a cure
Organized by: Van Sea
Her type of lung cancer was the subject of a study going on at the University of Colorado but they had no living cells to work with. By mistake they found that she carried the living cells they needed to do their research. With no reimbursement of any kind, they ask her to come to Denver and donate her cells for their research so they could study this rare form of the cancer. She did and they are still working on and have done some remarkable advancement with the study. Her bills keep piling up and the cancer keeps on doing it's nasty work on her.
Because she donated her living cells to "The Cause for the Cure" she would like to continue the research with monies donated to her cause. She would like to pay her bills and make sure that the University of Colorado continues to work on the strain of cancer. Her doctor is one of the worlds top lung cancer specialist and oversees the research. He travels to Glenwood Springs to visit with her every month. He would love to have a cure himself.
