BENEFITING: BREAST CANCER COALITION OF ROCHESTER INC
EVENT DATE: May 11, 2014
Friends and Colleagues –
Thanks for visiting this page - as ususal, I am lagging in getting the word out on this...some things never change!
It’s time once again for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester’s “Pink Ribbon Run and Walk” on Mother’s Day, May 11th. Mom and I will again be walking, her 6th year and my 10th.
Moving the location to Genesee Valley Park was very successful. Check out some of my pictures, thousands in attendance!
The Run is the only Women-Only event in our area – if you are a runner/jogger, there is NOTHING like the energy of this race! The Walk has also become a major part of the event, with whole families taking part. You can see Dads walking with the kids while Mom runs, or multi-generations of participants: Grandmas, Moms, and Daughters. Followed by healthy snacks, juice and coffee for all!
The reason why is to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, a local grassroots organization dedicated to eradicating breast cancer through action and advocacy. It is the only independently operated organization focused specifically on breast cancer in the Greater Rochester Region. I really appreciate that every dollar raised stays within our region to benefit the lives of those impacted by breast cancer.

If your budget has a little room for donations and you would like to sponsor my participation on Sunday, no amount is too small for this cause. Every bit helps!
Better yet, join me and thousands of others and run or walk - $20 to register, but if you raise $50 or more in pledges, that is waived. I know you will have a great time. If you want to join Mom and I, let me know, we can all walk together.
Thank you for taking this time and I hope to see you there!
