For individual reasons, we have each chosen to dedicate a great deal of time, energy and practice in our personal lives to diving deeper in to yoga for its healing properties. We started Deep Yoga Master of Life during the last week end in March and each of us have grown through the process. We know that yoga has made a difference in our personal lives.
Bhava Ram, our teacher has personally healed from a broken back and cancer through the transformational healing properties of yoga. As a former war correspondent (when he was Brad Willis), he knows first had what it’s like on the front lines. And what it’s like to come home from that experience. Due to the profound healings in his life he is dedicated to spread the word and make yoga more accessible to those still suffering. To do this he has founded Warriors for Healing.
What science is now telling us (and what yogis have known forever) is that practicing yoga can make a profound difference for people who have suffered some type of trauma, including PTSD. It can literally heal. We want to help spread the word and make yoga accessible to our veterans.
Please join us in helping to bring the healing power of yoga to more veterans, and others who have experienced trauma in their lives. Join us in our cause and give a little (or a lot) to those who have given so much for our freedom.

Julie’s story: Yoga in some form or another has been a part of my life for over 25 years. For the last 6 months I've stepped it up and started practicing 3 - 4 times a week. And for the last 3, I've started a daily practice. What I'm noticing is that I'm feeling more myself (that joyful, loving part of me is showing up more). What my friends are noticing is that I seem more grounded.
As a therapist I have worked with some of our veterans and I have seen the impact of returning home from the battle field on them and their families. It is challenging to navigate all the emotional experiences. While what I do as a therapist is helpful for their relationships, I know that Yoga can make a huge difference in their individual lives and their relationships.
