THE STORY:

I AM RUNNING THE NEW YORK CITY MARATHON THIS FALL ON NOVEMBER 6TH.  THERE ARE MANY TERRIFIC CHARITIES TO CHOOSE FROM FOR FUNDRAISING BUT THIS ONE CAUGHT MY ATTENTION AS IT IS FOR RESEARCH FOR ADVANCING ESOPHAGEAL CANCER TREATMENTS.  HAVING LOST MY DAD, MY COUSIN AND A FRIEND'S MOTHER TO THIS DREADFUL CANCER, THIS RESEARCH IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.  I HOPE YOU WILL CONSIDER DONATING TO THIS IMPORTANT WORK.

IF YOU'LL READ THE STORY BELOW, YOU'LL LEARN ABOUT THE FOUNDATION'S MOTIVATION AND GREAT WORK.  CANCER RESEARCH IS GREATLY IMPROVED BY THE EFFORTS OF TERRIFIC ORGANIZATIONS LIKE THIS.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR DONATION!!

CHEERS....   JINNOHN

WHO WE ARE

Stomach and esophageal cancers are among the fastest growing and most underfunded cancers in the world.  The DeGregorio Family Foundation seeks to promote awareness, facilitate education, and fund research for stomach and esophageal cancer. All funds raised go directly to providing grants to innovative researchers.

DFF was founded in 2006 after a tenth member of Lynn DeGregorio’s family succumbed to stomach cancer and was found to have possessed a rare gene that causes the disease and other common cancers.  Lynn and her surviving sibling, who both tested negative for the gene, created the foundation to raise funds for research on the hereditary and non-hereditary varieties of stomach and esophageal cancer.  Since its inception, the Foundation has made tremendous progress in providing the private support needed to learn more about these cancers, which affect millions of people annually around the globe.

Each year DFF’s Scientific Advisory Board, comprised of world renowned oncologists and scientists from institutions worldwide, review grant applications and award funds to applicants who are both innovative and will be a catalyst to collaboration.   Each year DFF awards $250,000 in grants to promising researchers and clinical scientists worldwide whose work can make meaningful strides in gastric and esophageal cancer research.

SUPPORT DFF

You can join us in turning the deadly facts about stomach and esophageal cancer into fiction.  Your support will promote education and facilitate research into these deadly diseases – and help us lead the way to effective treatments and, one day, a cure.
