So, for some reason, I like to run. After I run, I like to drink water. Simple enough, right? Logical. This simple act- drinking water- is something that millions of people around the world can't do- they can't because they don't have access to clean drinking water. I have met more than a few of them during my travels- on islands in SE Asia, in mountain outposts in Nepal, desert villages in South America, and all throughout sun-scorched Africa- and now, every time I turn on a faucet to fill my glass after a run, I'm reminded of them. So, in this year's GO! St. Louis Half-Marathon (4/8), I'm running to make a difference in these people's lives.
This will be my 3rd year with Team Living Water (http://www.water.cc/teamlwi), a group of passionate individuals that run to raise money to bring fresh water wells to people in need. We have something like 350 runners this year (CRAZY), and are already less than 4 weeks away from Race Day... We've been training hard, braving the sleet and the snow, the wind and the rain, and are almost to the Finish Line. Still- WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Research shows that just $10 can supply clean water to one person- FOR LIFE. That's pretty remarkable to think that you can give somone fresh drinking water- FOR LIFE- for just $10... You can be a part of this effort- you can help us CHANGE LIVES. I would ask that you consider making a donation to our cause by clicking the green 'DONATE' button to the right, and help us bring water to those that need it around the world.
Every cent we raise makes a difference- every dollar donated saves lives.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
