Delta Chi's Marco Madness
Team Member: Andrew Ehrenberg
Marco is in remission!!!... but the fight goes on for him and the thousands of other children who are undeserving victims of pediatric cancer, and he would like YOU to join us.
Last year, Marco Madness was born.
At its inception, we, as the Delta Chi Fraternity, knew that something had to be done.
Despite our continued support to the much larger and all-encompassing Jimmy V Foundation, we agreed that nothing is more important than supporting one of our own.
Our dear friend and brother Marco is back with us this year. As someone who lives on his floor and spends time with him regularly, words are not adequate to capture his resilience and joie de vivre.
For someone who is going through what Marco is, it's pretty much impossible to tell from talking to him. The kid is better and stronger than ever, and he is poised to be at this year's Marco Madness in the flesh.
I have never been a part of something is powerful, and am proud to present Marco Madness for the second straight year... featuring the man himself.
Fight alongside Marco and his brothers by getting down to the Crisler Center on January 29th. Compete, enjoy, and realize the difference that your fundraising teams are making.
When fundraisers ask for money, most people want to know where their money is going to end up, and we will give it to you as granular as it gets: All proceeds go to the National Childrens' Hospital, with a concentration in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia research (Marco's condition).
How often do you get to know EXACTLY where your charitable donations are going? Probably rarely. This provides a unique opportunity to focus on the elimination of a particularly ruthless strain of cancer, while also directly helping Marco and his family.
On behalf of Marco and Delta Chi, we hope to see you all there, in person or in spirit. Whether you are on the court or cheering on your friends in the Crisler seats, or supporting us with your donations from afar, make your voice be heard.
