BENEFITING: The Breast Cancer Research Foundation
EVENT DATE: Jun 10, 2015
Seven and a half years ago, on September 29th, 2007, my life changed forever.
My mom, Denise Chesney, passed away from breast cancer. She fought the battle valiantly and was in remission in early 2007. But the cancer came back stronger than even before and took her life.
She was only 42, but provided an invaluable amount of love to her family and community and had an unmatched zeal for life.
To honor my mom’s memory, I will be cycling across Washington State from Seattle to Spokane on the bike she got me for my 16th birthday, alongside my good friend David Sheppard. We will begin the ride on June 10th in Redmond at Marymoor Park and end at Gonzaga University on June 14th. Seattle and Spokane are significant to me because they were the first and last places my parents went on vacation together, as well as my homes for the past five years while attending Gonzaga and following graduation.
Please join me in the fight against breast cancer, and contribute any amount you can to help find a cure for this disease and save as many lives as possible. All proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of New York. For more information on BCRF, visit bcrfcure.org.
