BENEFITING: GEORGE EASTMAN MUSEUM
EVENT DATE: Oct 01, 2016
Our 2016 fundraiser will support conservation, preservation and rehousing for two rare photograms by Floris Neusüss (German, b. 1937). The photograms, each of which are over 84 x 41-inches (213 x 106 cm), have been in our collection for many years. The photographs were recently selected for our upcoming exhibition A Matter of Memory: Photography as Object in the Digital Age, which will be on display at the George Eastman Museum from October 22, 2016 thru January 29, 2017. The exhibition, curated by Lisa Hostetler, will be accompanied by a catalog, which also features Neusüss's works.
Since we've surpassed our $3000 goal, all donors will have access to the six-part story about how these works were discovered, conserved, framed, and selected for exhibition. Thanks to all of our donors for allowing us to better the care for these two important objects.
