BENEFITING: HUNTSMAN CANCER FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Oct 19, 2014
Charging a $15 entrance fee and open to the university and the community, participants will be invited to dress up in their tackiest outfits possible and race around FIU. All proceeds will benefit the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
The Huntsman Cancer Foundation is dedicated to finding the causes of cancer, developing new and better treatments, and preventing people from ever developing cancer. John Huntsman founded HCI to focus on understanding cancer from its very beginnings and to translate this knowledge into safer and more effective treatments. HCI was chosen as Sigma Chi's preferred philanthropy because many Sigs and their families have been directly affected by cancer and we must change the statistics through better ways to diagnose cancer and treat it more effectively.
The Sigma Chi Fraternity is determined committed to be the generation to end cancer and we would like to invite everyone in the community to join us in the cause. Cancer has taken too many lives. Run/Walk for those who you have lost because of cancer or simply for a friend. Enough is enough. Cancer may have started the race first, but we will finish first.
