"Once I realized my ability to make things happen, I decided to make things happen, I realized I had the power to make change by bringing people together to help others, so why wouldn't I do just that," said Rebecca.
Rebecca has been involved with community service work all her life, she grew up volunteering with the Salvation Army Church, which has evolved to her current charity involvement. Rebecca has been running a charity in San Francisco for over a year and a half, which consist of volunteers coming together to prepare lunches for the 6,400 accounted homeless in San Francisco. She has been able to develop a strong consestant group of volunteers and funding to make every month more successful then the previous one. Together they have provided the homeless community with over 10,000 lunches. She also has a back ground in fashion design and is currently working on her Masters in Family & Consumer Sciences. She has two passions in her life which is fashion designing and giving back, which is what brought her to the idea of fusing these two worlds together by teaching people skills that would create jobs for them, through apparel manufacturing. An apparel manufacturer called "Designing A Difference."
