Destiny Daycare Nursery School, Kenya
Organized by: Helen Paradise
I met a young lady named Amina, one of the founders of the school, during my volunteer trip to western Kenya in 2010. She and a group of local women founded the school in Shianda, Kenya (near Mumias) to teach and care for local children. Their source of income is limited to selling maize. Throughout the years, I have made small donations to help the school obtain registration, school supplies and books, and expand classroom size. The school needs more funding to continue to provide education, food and care to the children. Currently, there are 27 children and 4 teachers. It's a worthy cause, and on Amina's behalf, we hope you would find this a worthy cause to support. $10 dollars means additional work books and school supplies for several children. Every dollar goes a long way in Kenya, so please consider providing a donation to the school.
