As the premiere youth serving organization in Detroit, serving 12,000 boys and girls annually, the mission of the Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL) is to reduce crime, promote character development, and improve educational outcomes in Detroit’s youth. We know that when kids get involved in PAL, they automatically have a much greater chance of high school graduation.
Unfortunately, every year we have to turn Detroit’s youth away due to lack of resources. YOU can assure that no child is turned away in 2017 by supporting at least one child in our One Thousand Kid Challenge!
Former Detroit Lions’ Offensive Lineman Rob Sims and his wife Natalie have agreed to be our ‘One Thousand Kid Challenge’ honorary co-chairs and have agreed to challenge other current and former athletes to provide a $100,000 match to anyone that will help sponsor one or more children. Will you consider supporting the One Thousand Kid Challenge with a gift this holiday season?
Consider joining Rob and Natalie by taking the challenge to your friends, co-workers, and relatives! Create your own fundraising team and sponsor as many children as you can!
$250 = One Child Sponsored for One Year
$100 = Sponsoring a child for a season
$50 = Sponsoring a child for a month
$12.50 = Sponsoring a child for a week
