On May 5th the tall and handsome members of our group will be running the Milton Keynes full marathon, whilst the short legged of us will be completing the half marathon as fast as our little legs can carry us.
The charity we'll be running/jogging/waddling for is Deworm the World, a charity recommended by Giving What We Can for its effectiveness. Worm infections affect over 600 million school-aged children, but only 35% are receiving treatment. At around just £0.30 per treatment per child, this is a highly cost effective and targeted charity that we believe needs our support.
This really is a charity where every penny counts. We appreciate that many of you are poor and humble students, but for the admittedly grossly inflated price of a Curly Wurly, you could instead save a child from worm infections, so please give whatever you can.
