The Power Of The P.U.R.S.E. Advocating Against Domestic Violence
October 06, 2017
BENEFITING: The Dollicia F. Holloway Memorial Foundation Inc
EVENT DATE: Oct 02, 2017
1 in 4 women report experiencing domestic violence in their lifetimes. Financial security is the number one predictor of whether or not a victim of domestic violence will get free and stay free from abuse. Domestic violence and financial abuse often go hand-in-hand, but 8 in 10 Americans have not heard about financial abuse as a form of domestic violence. The number one reason domestic violence survivors stay, leave or return to an abusive relationship is that they don’t have the financial resources to break free.
The mission for the Dollicia F. Holloway Memorial Foundation is committed to servicing men, women and children by bringing awareness to the community and providing informational, educational and financial resources to survivors of domestic violence, hearing impaired adults and the youth of today to empower, encourage and equip so they may overcome and obtain a better quality of life.
We encourage others to see domestic violence for what it really is and what it really isn't, as well as encourage others in our surrounding communities to support domestic violence awareness, by lending support and assistance to those who have been victimized, those who are survivors and their families. Our plight is to create social change, which will eventually lead to the eradication of domestic violence.
Our focus is to create social change, which will lead to the eradication of Domestic Violence.
