Delta Gamma Cleveland East is proud to support Cleveland Sight Center. Help us help them!
The 10th Annual White Cane Walk and 5K run will be held on Saturday, June 18th at Legacy Village.
Cleveland Sight Center helps clients who are blind or have low vision chart a path toward independence. Clients range in age from newborns to seniors.
This annual fundraiser helps to raise awareness AND funds for CSC's essential programs. Over 400 individuals attend the event; many more donate. Through a generous challenge grant from SWP Foundation, the first $30,000 raised will be matched dollar for dollar!
100% of the dollars raised go directly towards services offered to clients at Cleveland Sight Center.
Schedule of Events: 5K Run – 8:30 a.m. ~ 1 Mile Stroll – 9:00 a.m. ~ White Cane Walk & Festivities – 10:00 a.m.
The fun begins on the main square of Legacy Village. The street fair atmosphere is a family-friendly event--face-painting, balloon artists, dancing in the streets AND maybe even a visit from Slider!
The event also provides an opportunity for individuals to learn how those with vision loss perform daily tasks through hands-on activities, including walking the sidewalks under blindfold using a white cane while escorted by a sighted guide.
Please consider supporting this year’s event. It will be a great morning to celebrate with family, friends and colleagues. Run, walk or support our fundraising team--the DG DASHERS! Thank you in advance for your support!
