BENEFITING: Decorah Community School District Foundation
The Decorah Community School District Foundation has made it a priority to give every graduating, college-bound senior a scholarship to help ease the increasing costs of higher education. The Class of '98 received it's start at DHS and received the same help along the way. This effort is meant to pay it forward to the classes who will follow.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 before our 20-year reunion in 2018. $10,000 would create an endowed scholarship that would grant one (1) $500 scholarship each year. At this rate, we would just need 100 classmates to donate $100 over 3 calendar years; i.e. '16, '17 and '18. That's $33 per year for 3 years, contributing toward a $500 scholarship for college-bound senior from our hometown. Also, your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law as it goes to the Decorah Community School District Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
So please join us in raising funds and donating and we'll meet again in 2018.
