Do more than just wish for peace this holiday season … participate in the Seeds of Peace Dialogue Challenge and help it happen!
The need for dialogue is clear. Recent headlines, breaking news stories and social media buzz describing the recent violence in the Middle East and South Asia make clear that the work of Seeds of Peace is more relevant than ever.
Less than 1% of young people growing up in the Middle East have the kind of opportunities for positive interaction between Israelis and Palestinians that our programming and facilitated dialogue opportunities provide. But with your help, we are changing that.
For the last 20 years, Seeds of Peace has brought together over 5,000 promising young teens and educators from opposite sides of conflicts around the world to participate in intensive facilitated dialogue activities. In dialogue, they learn to listen and communicate in a respectful way, to understand and see the humanity of the other side, and to work together to find solutions to core issues of conflict.
Inspired by the notion of #GivingTuesday, Seeds of Peace is asking supporters like you to help us raise immediate funds needed to support dialogue activities in the Middle East, South Asia, and the United States. And, as an added bonus, if we meet our goal of raising $10,000 before the end of the year, our friends at Kiss My Face have agreed to match it! Every gift counts towards real change.
So please, become a peacemaker this holiday season. Help us fund dialogue opportunities in the immediate aftermath of the violence in Israel and Gaza. Your gift will keep young leaders engaged with each other at every step on the path to peace.
And remember, if we reach $10,000 by New Year’s Day, all gifts will be matched, so please share this campaign with friends, family, colleagues, and through social media.
I have been in awe of the strength and bonds of our Seeds from the very beginning. They inspire me and restore my hope in positive change each and every day. Please join me in reinforcing how critical the work of bringing them together is now.
