Organized by: Nathan Sherman
My name is Nathan Sherman. My sister (Emily Wachter) and I have started this fundraiser for my mother, Dianne Sherman. She passed away on May 2nd after a month long hospital stay. She was expected to recover, but her heart gave out, most likely due to the strain from the medications, massive fluid build up, lack of movement (lying in a hospital bed for a month), and severe liver issues. Her heart stopped and they were unable to revive her. She was 68 years old. I am hesitant to do this fundraiser but have done so at the recommendation of others. My mother committed her life to serving others...at the sacrifice of a good income. She passed down that passion to her kids, which has also led them to careers helping others for little income. As a result, we do not have enough money to cover all the costs associated with her passing, such as: back taxes, upside-down car loan, credit card bills, funeral costs, medical bills, etc. She does have a very small life insurance policy, but not nearly enough to cover all of the expenses due. At this time I'm not 100% of the total of the expenses as we are still researching them, so the "goal" may change. My mother touched thousands of lives during her 68 years. She never cared much about money. She only wanted to serve. And she did. If you have any inclination to donate, please do so in her memory. She has left an enormous wake of sorrow in her passing, as well as rejoicing in the fact that she is in Heaven and pain free.
