BENEFITING: Watertower Theatre, Inc.
A touch of inventiveness and they can be as engaging and liberating as it gets. Students of all ages enjoying playing the part. Studies indicates that using arts processes to teach academic subjects results not only in improved understanding of content, but in greatly improved self-regulatory behavior. This answers our key question: whether skills from the arts transfer to other areas. Using arts processes prove extremely powerful.
Each child who stays home instead of attending the Summer Musical Theatre Conservatory at WaterTower Theatre misses the chance to explore through the eyes of the arts.
There is no heart larger than the heart of a child. Give generously for a child to attend!
Water Tower Theatre (WTT), founded in 1996, is not-for-profit professional theatre company in Addison, Texas - just north of Dallas. They produce six main stage shows each season in our flexible, state-of-the-art facility at the Addison Theatre Centre. WTT also produces a number of award-winning educational programs and offers a number of community outreach programs, including reduced ticket prices for seniors and students, to ensure that our work is accessible to as many people as possible. WTT’s education mission is to nurture the academic and emotional education of young people through theatre; and to make the rich benefits reaped from the experience available to all socio-economic levels and all traditionally undeserved populations in Addison and Dallas. Bob Katzen was a beloved board member. He believed in education for the arts. After his passing, his wife and WTT created the Bob Katzen Memorial Scholarship Fund.
