In November of 2000, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Metastatic Breast Cancer. This occurred only one month after relocating, from California to Illinois. Our children were young adults. Our sons were still in high school. As a former military spouse, I was financially devastated. It’s taken many years to be able to heal. These types of services weren't available then. Therefore, my participation in, Dancing with the Survivors will assist in more good days for other survivors; as I move forward.
The most valuable lessons that I’ve learned from having breast cancer is that; I may never remember the person that I once was. However, I can continue to make great choices to move forward. I'm surviving and living for the Lord. I'm even more determined to, enjoy life daily; while assisting others, with a more enhanced focus and quality of life.
Breast cancer awakened me to the appreciation of everything in life. I take the time to savor the moments, with a renewed sense of purpose.
Your donation will help me reach my $3,000 fundraising goal. Why $3,000? That amount will help The Pink Fund to provide #RealHelpNow to one qualified applicant in active treatment to cover her non-medical, basic cost of living expenses for three months.
Thank you for your support in advance.
