BENEFITING: Trails 2000 Inc
If you use the trails in Durango, you know there is no fee to entry. From the great rides in Horse Gulch and Twin Buttes, to the scenic hikes on Skyline or Animas Mountain, to the high country adventures on Hermosa Creek or the Colorado Trail, and so much more, we are lucky to live and play in a town where access to trails and outdoor recreation is right out our front door.
Trails 2000 is happy to be with you every step of the way as your local non profit trails organization, creating the connection between your ride or hike and how the trails are built and maintained. Trails 2000 plans, builds and maintains the area trails on City Open Space, County, Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, Fort Lewis College, and private lands, creating a network of trail connections that provide over 300 miles of trails within 30 minutes of town. It’s the perfect time to join the many Durango locals that are Trails 2000 members and help drive our efforts to build and maintain our trails.
This June, a generous donor has offered to contribute $5,000 if we match this amount with another $5,000. Please join our Dirt Drive Crowdfunding Campaign during the month of June to celebrate our work on the Colorado Trail. Trails 2000 adopts the longest section of the Colorado Trail in the entire state; from replacing Gudy’s Bench, clearing more than 75 downed trees from Champion Venture to town, and hosting our annual Colorado Trail Work Weekend, June 23-25. The Colorado Trail is a gem to our community.
By donating through the Dirt Drive today, you’ll know your donation was matched dollar-for-dollar. Please help Trails 2000 meet our goals and then hop on that bike, lace up your shoes or put the lease on your pup knowing your contribution is making a difference for Durango’s trails. Give Now to the Dirt Drive - Happy Trails!
