Disabled Veteran Service Project
Organized by: Marcus Benson
CPR and first aid, when implemented early on in an emergency, can and do save lives! I have worked in EMS for two years and now want to move out on my own to establish a non-profit organization to teach people how to save lives. I am also a Disabled Veteran of the US Army with three combat tours to Iraq and want to give back to a community that has shown a great deal of support to our Veterans. Throughout my life, I have witnessed these skills save people and I have witnessed situations where lives were lost when these skills were not available. That should not be something that is happening. Given the high cost of this training, it is understandable that people are reluctant to seek it out. I will provide this training at a greatly reduced cost and teach monthly free classes as well. Profits will go to support expanding the organization to provide other services as well. My goal is to be able to purchase AEDs and CPR/First Aid tools for community organizations and for other Veterans. Additionally, a portion of all profits will be going to support Veteran Service Organizations. I hope that I have your support and hope that you will share this in the event that you cannot assist to fund the project.
