Disadvantage Children at Every Child, Every Time Preschool
Organized by: Patrisha Lussier
Every Child, Every Time is a small preschool in Seattle. We are dedicated to taking care of children ages 1 to 5, who need a hand up, whose parents are struggling. Our children are homeless, are those running from abuse, are children whose parents are in school, trying for a better life and young families who just can not support their children and pay childcare.
These parents need a little help and their children deserve the same great care and love, which other children receive. With the $15 an hour coming to Seattle, preschools are already raising their rates and refusing to take state paid children. Washington pays less than 50% of tuition costs for state paid children, causing preschools to pass on caring for disadvantage, state paid children, who need care and education the most and deserve the chance to have it. With the child care/preschool tuition in Seattle being equal or higher than the tuition at the University of Washington to obtain a degree. Many parents, along with those who are struggling, are finding it more and more difficult to find any care. These preschool Children become latch key kids or parents are forced to give up and go back on welfare. We want to stop this craziness. Our little nonprofit school needs funds to carry on and take care of these amazing sweet children. These funds will help supply books, classroom supplies, food, clothing and home care for these kids. Hope is priceless, except it does cost money to turn hope into reality.
What does a child deserve? You decide.
