I am thrilled to be running (walking?) San Francisco's famous Bay to Breakers again in support of Delivering Innovation in Supportive Housing (DISH). We believe everyone deserves a home and I know you do, too!
This year, we are raising money to increase the community connection our 450 tenants experience by creating a huge and beautiful mural on the wall of our beloved Windsor Hotel overlooking the City’s gloriously redone Boeddeker Park. It’s a very public, open park that’s added so much light and laughter and basketball and greening and even zumba to our neighborhood. (And we’re collaborating with 1:AM gallery which has long been a favorite art spot of mine.) We’re also bringing more yoga classes to our buildings, hosting our annual Tenant Appreciation Party, and so much more. YOU can make all that happen!
Everyday I'm inspired by the lives the formerly homeless tenants we serve create, by the commitment I see to make San Francisco’s vibrant Tenderloin neighborhood thrive with love and safety, by the work my coworkers here at DISH do to ensure that housing turns into home in meaningful ways, and by all of you who support our life-changing work. Please donate now: $25 helps, $50 is awesome, $100 is fantastic and on and on! $1,000? Call me. $5? We’ll take it. You get the idea. Please join in – ending homelessness works! And let me know if you’d like to run/walk with us; we’d love to have you on our team. Thank you. YOU make this possible!
