BENEFITING: DAYLE MCINTOSH CENTER FOR THE DISABLED
The Dayle McIntosh Center (DMC) is a nonprofit organization operated by and for people with disabilities. Accessibility is extremely important for both employees and consumers, but we have a problem. We need $5,000 to extend the wheelchair ramp from our office to the sidewalk that runs along the street by the building. At present, people with disabilities, who use public transportation to come to DMC, must pass behind parked cars when traveling from the bus stop to get to the ramp. This can be especially unsafe for individuals, who use wheelchairs or who are blind. The existing ramp needs to be extended to the sidewalk where the bus stop is located. The center has raised part of the funds for the ramp extension, but needs support from the community to complete the project as soon as possible. Please help the Dayle McIntosh Center to be accessible for everyone!
