(UPDATE)..."Dobie's Surgery Fundraiser" PLEASE HELP!!!
Organized by: Anthony Caldwell
(Update)...On May 6th 2015 we had to say "Good Bye" to our boy as he went to Heaven. I tried everything in my power for my best Buddy even getting a "Title Loan" on my truck to cover his surgery but the Dr. said that was not an option :( It was still expensive to handle everything but worth every penny. I'm here to see if anyone could help us in this situation being $2000+ in debt? I'm so glad me and my son were able to spend time with him and he knew how much he is LOVED!!! I had him cremated and got him a Beautiful urn and even made a Tribute memorial in my room on his bed where he loved to be with Daddy. He has Flowers, Candles, Treats, Family Pictures and even a Big Stuffed Animal Dog that looks like him with his collar on it. What ever it takes to help the Pain of loosing him but he is watching over us now and we will all be together again one day. We had so many wonderful memories and great family time :) Nothing will ever take that away...It's just diffecult being a single Dad and dealing with this but any help would be amazing. Thank you so much for your time and God Bless you all. I LOVE YOU SON!!!
First, let me say Thank You for taking the time, to read our story. The reason we are trying to raise money is for our furry family member "Dobie" full name "Dobie Gillis". We adopted him when he was just over a year old and my son was a baby so he has been his childhood pup growing up for 11 wonderful years!! He is in desperate need for surgery to remove a grapefruit size tumor in his abdomen compressing his stomach and other areas effecting his Health every day. He has always recieved ALL the love in the world and is always happy, but, I knew something was wrong. For the past week or two he hasn't been eating well and now cannot hold, any food down. Also he is drastically loosing muscle mass and weight even showing his spine, on his back. I took him to the Vet for a yearly check up and Heart Worm, Flea Treatment, Rabies Shots and to have him looked at for these issues, but, vet said he's just getting old and not to worry. I refuse to accept that. So I took him to another Vet for a second opinion and after X-rays, we knew it was serious. Now all I can do is feed him special High protein soft wet food slowly with a spoon so he will keep it down and not get sick. As a single Dad taking care of my 11yr. son I try my best and it kills me to see him in so much pain and discomfort. They are both my WORLD and I pray to god that we can have more time and memories with him as a family. I am not a big socialite with 1000+ FB friends, but, it doesn't take much to make a difference. Countless times I have given my last few dollars and sometimes even change, to a shopper short of money, a Homeless individual or just People in need, I'm blessed to know that I am going home to a warm home and with plenty of food and Alot of LOVE!! When my son see's Dad do that he told me " Dad, that warms my Heart" and it makes me so proud! I am raising such a good little man with a Big Heart like me. Excuse the crazy random capitals and grammar but It's hard to show how we feel in writing. To be more specific on what he needs I have listed them below and any help we can get would mean the (WORLD) to us. As well as a few pictures out of many making memories together. I am a firm believer in paying it forward and have always loved to help others, but, for the first time I am desperately turning to others, for help. Please help my furry first born, or even just share this. I can't express the gratitude in compassionate people, willing to help! Thank you so very much and God Bless you ALL.
