Halloween Candy Challenge

THE STORY:

We're making Halloween the best day ever this year. Start a fundraiser for your favorite cause and donate $1 for every piece of candy your kid brings home. Could there be a better lesson for the kids? No, there could not be.

Doherty Elementary has given our family so much - so let's all give back! Here's how it works - for every piece of candy that your child or children bring home this Halloween, donate $1. In other words, if they collect 200 pieces of candy, donate $200. Everyone wins! That's a lot of candy and a lot of money for an amazing cause. More details...

Doherty is supporting iMentor this year! The mission of iMentor is bold: iMentor leverages the power of mentoring to help youth in low-income communities graduate high school college-ready and succeed in college. Students and mentors work one-on-one through iMentor’s online and in-person curriculum to navigate the college application process and build critical skills linked to college success. In New York City, iMentor partners with public schools to ensure every student in the school receives a mentor. iMentor also provides its curriculum, technology, and best practices to more than 30 nonprofits in 20 states to help them run effective mentoring programs in the iMentor model.
