EVENT DATE: Oct 20, 2013
Hello friends! This is a page to support me (Ashley Martin) as I am going through brain surgeries and back surgeries and kicking stupid cancer's butt! I ask that instead of sending flowers or teddy bears or cards to my hospital room, that you donate to these amazing non-profit organizations that are raising awareness and curing cancer (and MANY other diseases) every day through personalized medicine.
You will get a tax deductible receipt sent directly to your email as soon your donation is process (you can opt out of cc fee at checkout).
For EVERY donation made Jayna and Scott Martin will MATCH your donation with half of the money going to TGen and half of the money going to Stupid Cancer. For example, if you give $100 Mr. & Mrs. Martin will give $50 to TGen and $50 to Stupid Cancer.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me any time at firstname.lastname@example.org
Peace and Love!
WHAT YIU ARE GIVING TO:
TRANSLATIONAL GENOMICS RESEARCH INSTITUTE (TGen):
Translational genomics is the new science that is already making its way to find genetic mutations in any one individuals, then finding what will stop or even reverse the action of a genetic mutation. Medicine is at a crossroads. Genomic and other -omic generated information provides a greater understanding of the underlying biological defects associated with a particular disease or disorder. Since day one at TGen, the mission has always been to champion the use of -omics driven decisions to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease. The mission of the TGen Foundation is to positively impact the lives of patients and their families. They do this by raising funds that accelerate TGen's efforts to make and translate genomic discoveries into advances in human health. The lab sends that information directly to the patients bedside for personalized treatment options. I will be not only for raising money for their incredible efforts in the fight to cure cancer and MANY other diseases.Currently, I am working on a study lead by Dr. Bodour Salhia as the editor of a new publication that focuses on Breast Cancer in women under 40. The most amazing thing about TGen is that no studies or publications are have a copyright because they WANT everyone to know about the amazing technology they are using!

Young adults, a largely unknown group in the war on cancer, account for 72,000 new diagnosis each year. That's one every eight minutes. It's also seven times more all than pediatric cancers. The OMG! Cancer Summit is the premiere oncology conference and social networking event for the young adult cancer movement. The Martin family also had the chance to attend this inspiring conference. A program of the Stupid Cancer, the OMG! Cancer Summit is where we discovered TGen among many other beneficial resources. This conference has become a pivotal healthcare event that brings together thousands of survivors, cargivers and providers—along with scores of academic, advocacy, research and support organizations—to build community and unite as one to drive change!
